FALLS CHURCH, Va. (December 1, 2011) The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors - National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation announces the release of its HVACR 401: Heat Pumps textbook. This book, developed in partnership with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) is designed for a more experienced apprentice or journeyman who seeks to learn more detail on the operation of heat pumps. The book, published by Delmar, Cengage Learning, emphasizes the service technician's perspective and progresses from the refrigeration cycle to more in-depth topics including electrical schematics, scheduled maintenance, geothermal heat pumps, and troubleshooting problems.
"The PHCC Educational Foundation, ACCA, and RSES have developed an outstanding textbook that both completes our apprentice textbook series and serves as a stand-alone source on heat pumps," said Project and Subject Matter Expert Committee Coordinator Merry Beth Hall. "Add to that an instructor CD with lesson plans and an exam question database, and you have a course ready to teach right away."
This textbook and the other HVACR series titles are available from Delmar, Cengage Learning at http://www.informationdestination.cengage.com/hvacr or by calling 800-354-9706.
