IAPMO R&T Lab's Estrada Appears as Guest on Home Talk USA

IAPMO Director of Client Services for IAPMO R&T Laboratory Donna Estrada appeared Dec. 10 as a guest on "Cajun Contractor" Michael King's nationally syndicated radio program, "Home Talk USA." Broadcast in 217 radio markets covering all 50 states, the program reaches 6.1 million listeners each week.

Estrada answered King's questions about IAPMO R&T Lab's menu of product testing services, quality assurance, types of products tested, testing protocols, new innovations in plumbing fixtures and more.

“Plumbing products are no longer the same simple, basic products we had 20 years ago,” Estrada said. “Now, plumbing products utilize the latest technologies. For example, shower valves must be equipped with pressure and temperature sensing devices to automatically maintain the outlet temperature when the supply pressure and temperature fluctuate. This is to prevent scalding; Showers and bathtubs are controlled remotely using your iPhone; Toilets feature electronic devices to control the flushing operation, bidet spray, music, heated seat, etc.”

To listen to the full interview, previous appearances by IAPMO R&T Senior Director of Continuous Compliance Ohannes Dembekjian, IAPMO Senior Director of Field Services Dwight Perkins, IAPMO Senior Director of Environmental Education Steve Lehtonen, Director of Special Programs Pete DeMarco and/or IAPMO Senior Director of Business and Product Development Allen Inlow's initial interview with King, direct your Web browser here.
